For every £1 donated, Children with Cancer spend 80p fighting childhood cancer (30p on research, 29p supporting families, 21p raising awareness) and 20p fundraising.

On June 17th, I am going to be running 70 miles along Hadrian's Wall and all in a day (I actually have 26 hours to complete it but don't plan on taking that long). My training is already well underway.

I'll be honest, I wasn't originally going to try and raise money for doing this but so many have asked if they can sponsor me (they clearly think I'm crazy as well and would only do this if I was raising money, haha!), so I have made the decision to take this opportunity and to raise money and awareness for the charity Children with Cancer UK. As most of you already know, we lost my little Sister, Beth when she was just 16 years old. Throughout her four year battle with Leukaemia I experienced and saw the effects the battle had not just on her but on our entire family, especially my parents. Charities like Children with Cancer are an invaluable source of support to families like mine and children like Beth. Losing a child is something no parent should ever have to experience.

They also offer funding for research in helping finding cures for all types of this dreadful disease and so it seems only right that my crazy endeavour should help such a deserving cause.
