In April 2026 I will be running the London Landmarks half marathon in support of Tommy’s. This charity is very close to my heart, as I am one of the 1 in 4 who will experience baby loss in their life.

In January 2023 me & my husband joined the club no one ever wants to be part of - the 1 in 4 club, after I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks pregnant. We were absolutely devastated and were told by the early pregnancy unit at Watford Hospital that it was “just one of those things” and sent on our way with a few leaflets of what to expect in the following weeks. Reading those leaflets directed me to Tommy’s and they helped me through the weeks and months that followed. We had an amazing support network of family and friends who also helped us through, and talking to them made us realise just how many people, including some of our closest friends had also gone through the heartbreak of baby loss.

We finally welcomed our rainbow baby Sadie Violet into our lives in January 2025.

I'm proud to be joining Team Tommy's in the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2026 to support Tommy's and continue their vital work to help make pregnancy and birth safe - for everyone.

Tommy's fund research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth, and provide pregnancy health information to parents. They believe it is unacceptable that one in four women lose a baby during pregnancy and birth. They want every parent to have the best possible pregnancy outcomes and to take home happy, healthy babies.
