Story
I am running for my grandma. I am running for my cousin. I am running for the 2.5 million people, suffering with this crippling, life debilitating plague. I am running to raise awareness and hopefully bring graceful charity to those affected by this despicable plight.
Those that know me and my family, understand how close to my heart this charity is. Growing up and spending time with my grandma, I have witnessed first hand how awful this burden really is. The day to day reality of struggling with even simple tasks, like getting up, writing birthday cards, opening letters... Sickens me to my core.
I am no athlete. I’m not even a runner. But I’ll do everything within my power, to become those things for my Grandma. To raise awareness. To raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. To try to help and possibly prevent the tyrannical threat this disease poses, to everyone. The rich. The poor. The famous. The forgotten. We are all human. We are all vulnerable.
So please, donate. Please help take the steps necessary, to prevent the silent and crippling hold this illness has on our society.
My names Melody McGovern,
Thankyou.
