At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

I'm walking from London to Newcastle in June to raise money for Alzheimer's Society. Instead of going straight there - which might make things easier - I'm visiting places and people that I've made wonderful memories with in my (nearly) 30 years.

The route will take me from South East London, through the Midlands, Peak District and Lancashire, to the East Coast and Yorkshire Moors, and eventually home - Newcastle upon Tyne.

I'll meet up with family, former teammates, best friends, familiar faces and even some newborns. Hopefully, plenty of new folk along the way.

Almost everyone I will meet will have been touched by dementia in some way. Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the Iandscape of dementia forever and I'm proud to help foster a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
