St Catherine’s cares for patients and families who are affected by life-shortening conditions, at the hospice and in people’s own homes across Chorley, Preston and South Ribble. Our specialist care helps people enjoy the best possible quality of life to the end of life.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We decided to organise an event in which people who work for, or with, Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust (and their friends and families) could walk or run around Preston's Albert Edward Dock for local worthy causes. We have chosen St Catherine's Hospice as one of those causes as it is dear to many peoples hearts. We have also chosen a local MH organisation (Seed/Breathe) to share the sponsorship money raised.

If 18 participants each do one lap (1.46 miles), then we could achieve the equivalent of a marathon (in fact, 26.28 miles). If 18 people raise £55.55 each, then we can raise £1000 for those local worthy causes.

The event will promote the use of exercise to alleviate MH symptoms.
