Story
Firstly, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page it means a lot already that you come this far.
I’m doing this challenge to raise awareness about Brain Cancer as this disease kills more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, and only just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease so more needs to be done and every little helps.
This disease has affected people very close to me from Nigel a boxing coach at my gym that helped me on my weight loss journey back in 2019 to a very good friend and colleague Zoe who lost her Partner Gavin a few weeks before his 40th birthday who leaves behind two children.
I can’t even comprehend losing someone so young so I needed to do something I wouldn’t normally do to raise awareness for this cause, so I would really appreciate your donation no matter how small as it all adds up and all helps! (Thank you in advance)
So, what is the challenge? it’s called the Three Peaks which consists of climbing the three biggest mountains in the UK all in 24 hours. Clock starts at the car park of the first mountain and includes climbing the three biggest peaks in the UK (Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike
in England & Snowdon in Wales) plus this challenge includes all the driving in-between so every minute counts and there is no room for error!
This challenge will be a real test of character and fitness but
like Gavin’s motto ‘never give up’ will resound in my head when times get hard and I feel I can’t do anymore! I will push myself beyond my limits to finish this challenge no matter what!
