Story

On Saturday 14th September Meredith will be running the kids Spartan Race including the obstacles. We have done some great fundraising for them as a family but this is something Mouse is facing on her own. She is really excited to go over the course and get really muddy, knowing that every bit of the money she raises goes towards helping someone, someone like her,  to smile again!

It would mean so much to Merry if you could all throw her over a quid or two to show your support.

Scotty’s Little Soldiers really do make such a huge difference to the children of our fallen service men and women. They never forget the anniversaries, birthdays and tough days but they also  create amazing opportunities for them, and Heather was lucky enough to go on a week long camp designed to build confidence and social bonds this summer. She came home with such a massive smile on her face, and brimming with confidence and pride. Without Scotty’s, well I actually can’t even put into words how low my girls would be without them. So please consider helping Merry do her bit, pay it forward and raise some money for Scottys.

Meredith and Heather’s Dad, Ssgt Pete Cluff died on the 5th February 2016. At the time he was just weeks away from serving his country in the Royal Engineers for 22 years. The girls were 5 and 8, and have been supported ever since by the Scotty’s Little Soldiers team. They have made so many friends. But they aren’t ‘normal’ friends. They are friends that know the pain of finding out, of having their Mummy tell them those devastating  words. They are friends that know what it’s like to have that empty seat at the table, the pictures and memories that have to last, and everything else that comes from the death of a parent. These kids are bonded together, but instead of sitting around being glum, SLS bring them together to have fun and laugh and  to create happy memories. They allow us to spend time together as a family, giving us the chance to heal together.

Thank you for reading, and thank you for all you give. It really does mean the world to Meredith, and to every  single one of the Scotty’s kids x x
