Story
When people see pictures of me from high school, they often ask, "Who is that little guy?" My usual response is: "Oh, I ate that guy!"
But the truth is, when I graduated high school, I was severely underweight, constantly sick and likely a sufferer of Crohn's Disease or Ulcerative Colitis. I couldn't eat much and I was in near constant pain.
After treatments with several different medications and steroids, my symptoms eventually disappeared and I went into remission in my early 20s. But the disease, which runs in my family, could come back at any point.
Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis are never easy to talk about, mainly because it involves poop and large tubes getting shoved up your butt. But I know so many people who suffer from Crohn's Disease and Colitis who have not been as lucky with their battle as I have.
I wanted to do something special for this marathon. Would you please consider matching my miles with a donation to help combat and treat these diseases? At a dollar per mile, it is only $26! And if you go at least $2 a mile, I promise to add one song of your choosing to my marathon playlist (song must be under 4 minutes). If you can, donate and join me in the race for a cure!
