Flora London Marathon 2008 · 13 April 2008 ·

A charity providing help for development projects organised by Christian groups in the poorer countries of the world to create permanent improvements in the lives and health of impoverished people.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. This year I ran for Operation Agri, a fabulous charity which is involved in long-term development projects such as digging bore holes for water in the poorest parts of the world. They have promised that all monies raised by me will be allocated to projects in Zimbabwe, which as you will know from news reports, is a country in desperate need of help at this time.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Operation Agri Bmm will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Thank you to all of you who have sponsored me so far. I really appreciate it. The fancy dress survived the course and attracted lots of comments! I broke what was the current Guinness World Record for running the Flora London Marathon in a superhero costume by some 23 mins but there were faster supergirls than I on the day so I am not the current record holder. Nonetheless it was a great day! I passed the Masai warriors at mile 2 and met so many inspiring people on the journey to the finish. as ever the organisation of FLM was faultless, the volunteers on drink stations etc selfless and always good humoured even in the pouring rain and the crowd were fantastic.
