Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Congratulations to the cyclists involved in the Merseyrail Coast to Coast (East meets West) Charity Bike Ride which was completed on Sunday 18th September at 6.00 p.m.    A tired but jubilant team rode into the grounds of Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital for a hero's welcome.

The cyclists had covered 500 miles in 4 days travelling through the Peak District, Lincoln, Skegness, Loughborough, Barmouth and finally back to Liverpool.

The Lord Mayor of Liverpool joined the cyclists for the leg of the journey, together with the Chief Executive of LHCH and four members of hospital staff.

Praising the cyclists during a reception held at the hospital the Lord Mayor thanked Merseyrail and the cyclists for the challenge they had endured in order to raise funds for the hospital.

On behalf of patients and staff at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital THANK YOU Merseyrail for nominating us as your Charity of the Year and for the gallant efforts you continue to strive for in order to help us improve the patient experience at our hospital.   Congratulations and well done to all the team who participated in this cycle ride.  Your spirit and determination is to be applauded.  Thank you all again.
