Anna&Hannah's Metres for Memories

Metres for Memories · 24 December 2019
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2020, Hannah and Anna will be completing 225,000 metres between them (by walking and swimming) to raise money for Dementia UK.
Every year, 225,000 people are diagnosed with dementia, leaving families, friends and themselves lost, frightened and confused at what lies ahead. With your help (and their sweat!), donations will be given to the Admiral Nurses doing life-changing work ensuring no one faces dementia alone.
Unfortunately, on 30th December 2019, Anna's grandfather passed away following a battle with dementia. Even at 85, he inspired her to do something to leave a mark - however small. Bruce Pinkney will be Anna's motivation through the year, and she hopes to make him proud.
Hannah, aside from being (and needing!) Anna's spirit and strength, is taking part in this challenge in memory of her boyfriend's grandfather, Doug. He suffered from Parkinson's and Alzheimer's for several years and, unfortunately, passed away back in 2016. Hannah is very much looking forward to raising as much money and awareness as possible for the wonderful work that Dementia UK do.
So by the end of 2020, Anna and Hannah will have walked and swum 225,000 metres between them for 225,000 memories. We hope you support us through this and thank you for anything you can possibly give.
