Virgin London Marathon 2014 · 13 April 2014 ·

Our Charity is a fund run by Licenced Hackney Carriage Taxi Drivers which was established in 1972 for Children with Special Needs from S.E London & Kent Area. We take over 300 children/carers in 100 black taxis down to Hastings for a fun day out. We also take children from Chernobyl to Herne Bay.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

4 marathon veterans and 4 novice runners have decided that 2014 is the year to run the Virgin London marathon and in doing so aim to raise £5,000 for the Albany Taxi Charity Fund.

The local charity, set up and run by Licenced Hackney Carriage Taxi Drivers, has been established since 1972 and each year organises seaside trips to Hastings for mentally handicapped children from the South East London and Kent area.

400 children are chauffeured by over 100 hundred brightly coloured and decorated London cabs to the coast for a fun day out for both children and carers.

The charity also works in connection with local schools and homes raising money for new equipment that local councils are unable to provide.

As always anything that you can donate would be greatly appreciated and will be going towards a fantastic cause.

Thanks!
