We are the only UK charity dedicated to the prevention of breast cancer.

Story

Team MFT Pharmacy and friends will be running the Round the Resers 5 mile trail race on 23rd June. As well as the race profits going towards two breast cancer charities, we are also hoping to raise as much sponsorship as we can for Prevent Breast Cancer, who are based at Wythenshawe Hospital. As some of you know, I was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year, so this is a cause close to my heart. I am aiming to complete the race despite being part way through chemotherapy, and am excited to be joined by the rest of the MFT runners and friends.

About Prevent Breast Cancer

Predict. Prevent. Protect. You could call it our mantra. As the only UK charity entirely dedicated to the prediction and prevention of breast cancer, we’re committed to freeing the world from the disease altogether. Unlike many cancer charities, we’re focused on preventing, rather than curing. Promoting early diagnosis, screening and lifestyle changes, we believe we can stop the problem before it starts. And being situated at the only breast cancer prevention centre in the UK, we’re right at the front-line in the fight against the disease.
