Honey came into Margaret Green Animal Rescue in a shocking condition. She was very underweight, with thickened and inflamed skin; the result of a skin condition that had probably never been treated. Her joints were callused from pressure sores and her ears were black with filth, but despite all this you could not wish to meet a more trusting dog than Honey.
Honey is one of the many stray dogs brought to our kennels at Lincoln Farm and the number is always increasing. It is thought that the number of stray dogs will increase in 2008 with a change in the law, making it the responsibility of over stretched local councils, rather than the police to collect and look after stray dogs, out of normal working hours. In response to this demand we desperately need to raise £25,000 to build a ready made prefabricated kennel block to replace one of our old and outdated stray kennel blocks. This will help us cater for the growing number of strays coming into our care, like Honey.
Many thanks for your support.
