We pray that you are well.  Welcome to the Madam's Goods' fundraising page for a Masjid / Mosque in West Bengal.

This Ramadhan Madam's Goods will be supporting a few different causes.

We are supporting the Peoples Needs charity (https://peoplesneeds.org/ ) to assist the people of West Bengal, India. Peoples Needs are a UK registered charity (reg number: 1126869) with a 100% donations policy.

The charity has been active in this area providing emergency aid, implementing water projects, building Masjid / Mosque facilities and supporting widows and orphans here. There is still so much more to be done and with your help we can collectively help.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

'Whoever builds a Mosque, desiring thereby Allah's pressure, Allah builds for him the like of it in paradise.'    [Bukhari]

We are aiming to raise funds for the following project Insha Allah:

West Bengal Masjid / Mosque - in an area which is in much need of a mosque facility.

The Masjid / Mosque facility will be located in a remote and rural area of West Bengal where either it will replace a mud structure or will be the only Masjid / Mosque in the vicinity with the next nearest one being some kilometres away. Poor areas are chosen as locations for the Masjid / Mosque and a sound structure is of huge benefit to the locality.

The Masjid / Mosque facility in West Bengal will Insha Allah have a capacity of approximately 150 Musallees and will be more accommodating during Jummah Salah. The Masjid / Mosque construction project is multi-faceted. In addition to providing prayer facilities from a purpose-built Masjid there will also be educational elements (Maktab) for both the young and old. Children with potential for further studies will be referred to boarding schools. Those inclined towards higher religious studies will be supported to enrol in Darul-Ulooms.

Supporting a 100% donation policy, this is a Lillah only donation project. Please donate as much as you can for this appeal to help our brothers and sisters in West Bengal and above all please make dua that the Almighty eases the suffering of those less fortunate than us.

If applicable, adding Gift Aid means the charity can claim an extra 25% for every £1 you give. It will not cost you any extra.

UPDATE 29/4/2021 - Alhamdulillah by the Grace of Allah ﷺ the requested amount for one Mosque has been reached. However, we have been requested by donors to continue our Mosque appeal to give them the opportunity to donate towards the building of a Mosque. The target has therefore been updated to allow for two mosques in different vicinities of each other but still keeping within West Bengal to be built Insha Allah.
