Event: Nightingale Snowdon Challenge, on 29 September 2018
Participants: 8 other climbers from the Ben Nevis Team of 2017
the team of 9 all made it to the top of Snowdon on Saturday with the help of 2 local guides. The conditions on the climb were perfect. However the top was covered in cloud and was sub zero in the wind. It's still not to late to support the team!

Story

Chris and I have both benefited from the support services provided by the Nightingale which are excellent! I was discharged from Barnet Hospital recently with 'no signs or symptoms of recurrence' of Breast Cancer  so I am celebrating being a supporter and no longer a direct user of Nightingale services. Chris continues to get support as he is still receiving treatment for Prostate Cancer.

I will attempt to climb to the top of Snowdon (1085m ) following the Rhyd Ddu route, to raise money for The Nightingale Cancer Support Centre (Reg. Charity No: 1094435) to provide services for Chris and other people being treated for Cancer or living with Cancer.

Please make a donation to the Nightingale if you can. Alternatively you can send a cheque to me payable to the Nightingale Cancer Support Centre.

Thank you in anticipation.

The Nightingale provides the vital additional support so often needed by those affected by cancer. It  works  alongside the clinical services of the NHS to assist people to live with and beyond the disease. So often it is not just the patient who suffers from a cancer diagnosis - its their family, friends and even their work colleagues. The Nightingale supports them all and gives their services free of charge. It receives no Government funding and relies entirely on fund raised income!
