Story
Hannah, a former Manchester High School for Girls student, tragically lost her life after a prolonged illness in July 2018, aged only 20. In memory of Hannah, over twenty staff, friends of Hannah, and Hannah's father, are taking part in the Manchester Marathon (April 7th) and/or Manchester 10K (May 19th). We aim to fundraise for two charities - BEAT (an eating disorders charity), which provided great support to Hannah and her family, and the mental healthy charity MIND.
Hannah was the most delightful, popular and fun-loving student. Hard-working and generous-spirited, she was a real joy to teach, so talented yet very modest. She loved Science and went on to Birmingham University to study Medicine, but also had a real passion for the Arts, taking English Literature at A-level. She also adored acting in her speech and drama lessons and wasn't afraid of trudging through the mud on Duke of Edinburgh expeditions. We will always remember her beautiful smile and colourful sixth-form suits.
