Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

πŸ’œπŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™Mia's boy, Kieron, Nathen and Callum have set up this just giving page to help raise money for the Brain Tumour Research in memory of their cousin Mia Hankins.

Mia aged 6 was diagnosed suddenly with a brain tumour on November 11th 2020. Mia had an operation at Southampton Hospital to remove the tumour on the 20th November. Despite the doctor's best efforts Mia stayed sleeping and passed away on the 21st November 2020.

Mia was able to prolong the lives of 3 others in need through organ donation. She was such a loving and caring little girl, we are all so very proud of her.

Kieron, Nathen and Callum’s relationship with Mia was an amazing brother and sister bond. Being a clan of brother’s Mia was the sister they always wanted. Having to break the news that Mia had passed away has been very difficult for them to come to terms with.

They have wanted to set up fundraising events throughout this year to raise money for the Brain Tumour Research….

Fundraising events will be updated here or on Facebook

They have each wanted to write in their words their story..;πŸ’œπŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™

Kieron..πŸ’™

"Mia was like a sister to me, she was nearly always round to play with or have sleepovers every weekend with me and my younger brothers. We watched films together and stayed up late. Sometimes we would even have pillow fights before we went to sleep. Every Halloween we would get buckets full of sweets together and take it in turns to answer the door. I was shocked when I came home from school and mum told me that Mia had a brain tumour. Then mum told me on the 21st November in the morning she had passed away. I was devastated and in shock and that it was so rare. I want to help raise money so no one else has to go through the suffering and pain I have experienced".

Nathen..πŸ’™

"I am Nathen and I am 12 years old Mia was my sister, cousin, and best friend all in one. I never knew this kind of bad stuff would happen to me. So I am trying to raise money for the brain tumour charity because I love to help and for Mia to be very proud of me".

Callum..πŸ’™

"My favourite games I loved playing with Mia was the pizza game on Roblox, Hide and seek and kitchens. I miss Mia and blow kisses to the sky so she gets them".
