Story
I really needed Triangle Community Center. Really, I did. Luckily I found TCC in times when in-person Friendsgiving and Nerd Nite and support groups were still possible. Luckily I found it when I wasn't personally in crisis.
Today our LGBTQ community is truly depending on TCC. This year's difficult times has kept many LGBTQ people in close quarters with difficult family situations, keeping both our free mental health counseling services and Housing Assistance navigator very busy. LGBTQ people facing employment changes or financial struggles are turning to our food pantry even more. Our virtual social groups keep welcoming new people searching for safe human connection in quarantine times. TCC IS NEEDED MORE THAN EVER!
Join me in helping TCC continue providing free services to LGBTQ people through this pandemic.

TCC'S SERVICE STORIES
The phone rang. It was a mom, calling for her child. "My kid is having gender issues, and I'm trying to support them, but I think we need help. Do you have any counselors we can talk to?" TCC provides free mental health services. The doorbell rang at TCC the other day. There was a woman, all bundled up. She said, "I understand you can help me with food?" TCC provides emergency food assistance and referrals to longer term help at area food banks. One of our volunteers tells his story, "I really needed to find an LGBTQ 12-step program. One of the guys at my group suggested TCC. I went to their men's recovery group and I never looked back. This is my home group now." TCC provides dozens of support and social groups to meet the unique needs of the LGBTQ community. Triangle Community Center is all of these things and more. Join us in supporting all LGBTQ/allies in making our world more inclusive, more helpful, more caring.
