RIP Michael Agapiou
2 April 1940 - 26 March 2020
Michael Agapiou passed away at home in the early hours of Thursday 26 March 2020, just a few days before his eightieth birthday. All his family and friends were shocked and saddened to hear of his sudden passing and he will be missed greatly.
Michael was friendly, outgoing, and good-humoured. He was always ready to help others and would talk with anyone and everyone.
Not one to sit still even after his retirement from BMW where he worked for fifty-plus years, Michael enjoyed gardening and backgammon. He enjoyed backgammon so much that he was always looking for someone he could play a game with and won a first-place Championship Prize in 2017 during a church competition. He was also a keen Tottenham Hotspur supporter.
So, on behalf of his loving wife, Androulla, we have set up this fundraising page ahead of his funeral on 26 May, to remember Michael and the cheerfulness he brought to our lives.
Funds raised will go to the charity of The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Holy Cross & St Michael in Golders Green, London where Michael spent each Sunday as an active member of the church community. This is what he would have wanted. Please donate to remember Michael.
