Glasgow to Edinburgh 100k · 14 May 2022

We raise money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and ground-breaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.

Story

Shonagh Jonstone was told in June 2021 that she had stage four cancer.  Not great, especially as she is such a bubbly, full of life 37 year old superstar!  Her brother instantly decided that he would walk/run the 100k Jurassic Coast Ultra challenge.  Not wanting to be left out, the Scottish branch of the family volunteered to do something similar.

Now Mick, Fraser, Aidan and Roy are going to cycle from Glasgow to Edinburgh, following the route of the Forth & Clyde canal and the Union canal, a distance of 101k.

We're hoping for one or two more friends and family members to join us along the way, and we hope to raise as much money as we can for the Royal Marsden, who are treating Shonagh and helping her on her long road to recovery.

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and ground-breaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
