On the 12th of November 2021, exactly a year ago to the day that I sit here and write this, my dad suffered a heart attack. Whilst I am fortunate enough for my dad to still be by my side today, others aren't as lucky.

Every 3 minutes someone dies from a heart or circulatory disease and every 5 minutes someone is admitted to hospital due to a stroke. In the amount of time it's taken me to write this, at least 20 peoples lives have been changed.

On the 23rd of April 2023 I will be running the London marathon in order to raise money to support the great research that the British Heart Foundation do to prevent, detect, treat and cure all heart and circulatory diseases. It is my hope that with continued research and fundraising,  these disease which affect so many of our lives will be gone for good.
