I have joined Ciara's Centurions and will be doing the 5 x 50 Challenge because I want a cure to be found for Rett Syndrome and for my little sister.

The Challenge will start on Sunday March 20th and for 50 consecutive days I will ride my bike a minimum of 5km. This will be on top of the normal things I do after school such as swimming and football. Some days I will ride before school starts and some days I will ride a lot further than 5km as I will be going on long rides with my Dad.

I want to help Ciara to always be happy and not to always have to miss out on all the fun. I want her to always be part of the fun. Ciara often has to just sit and watch other children playing and having fun. Because of Rett Syndrome, our family can't always do normal things together and we now have to take Ciara to Claire House Children's Hospice so that we can do more.

It must feel terrible for Ciara to be away from her family when she is having respite. By doing the 5 x 50 Challenge it will hopefully be one step closer to finding a cure for Rett Syndrome, which means we can then do more together as a family.

I have always wanted to be part of Team Ciara since watching my Dad do his amazing bike rides for Ciara. I have always wanted to do challenges for Ciara and as I am now 9, I am old enough to start.

Having a sister with Rett Syndrome makes me feel that I miss out on lots of things that brothers and sisters do together. Because I now also have Sofia, I can now do some of the things I want to do with Ciara. It would be amazing if I could do things with both of them.
