Brain Injury Matters (NI) was established in 2013 as an independent regional third sector organisation supporting, empowering and advocating for all those affected by acquired brain injury (ABI). We develop and deliver a range of innovative programmes led by a diverse team of clinicians.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  I am doing this Trek for Brain Injury Matters (formally known as Headway, here in Northern Ireland.)  As many of you know this is something close to my family’s heart and as a result have decided to raise as much money as possible for the charity.  For those of you who are not aware as to what this charity actually does; I have outlined below a quick over –

They continue to improve the quality of life for brain injury survivors and help rebuild the lives of those affected through the delivery of;

  • A community outreach service for survivors which facilitates recreational, social and educational opportunities in the community.
  • Day service three days per week offering art, drama, music therapy, group discussion and peer support groups, exercise classes, neuro-physiotherapy and IT support
  • Counselling and information on acquired brain injury
  • A Younger Person’s Programme offering intensive practical and psychological support to your survivors of brain injury.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
