Fundraising for SSAFA
Story
So it’s official…
I will be walking to Windsor Castle from Middlesbrough to collect my MBE.
I really wouldn’t feel comfortable just turning up at Windsor and spending the night in a nice hotel to go and receive our award, it just wouldn’t sit right if I didn’t on some way earn my right to be there.
I will be setting off Late January so the weather, the temperature and conditions will be bad but this is just something I have to face.
I decided that I would pack a bag, put on my trainers and head on the 250+ mile trip, it s the equivalent to 10 Marathons in Distance.
I am raising the money for amazing SSAFA the charity that exists to help the armed forces, veterans and their families.
My mission is to raise a minimum of 25k and I hope along the way others including YOU will join me, share stories and experiences and hopefully raise as much money for this amazing charity as possible.
I’ve made my own experiences with mental health very public and and I know so many military and ex military suffer, so I thought this charity would be something I’d love to raise money for…
I’d love it if I could get others walking a few miles with me along the way and together we can all raise money to make the £25,000 possible.
I have over 77 THOUSAND followers on Facebook so even if each gave £1 that would triple our target.
I will be calling out as many people to join me on this walk, so if you have a following then expect me to come calling, you might even have me turn up at your work to get you to tag along so be READY
