Recently it's been my privilege to meet the amazing people who work for MAGPAS Air Ambulance. The team are a band of amazing dedicated individuals who provide the most terrific emergency care for those who need it most.

Inspired by their phrase 'Further, Faster, Greater'. I have decided to support this amazing charity by cycling around the area the helicopter looks after, Cambridgeshire.

But why the rush? Why am I doing this now?  Sadly I had meant to take part in one of the larger orgainsed national cycle events but not only was my bike stolen but then I fell ill and was unable to participate. So I thought why waste the training and hard work I'd already put in? Let's snatch charitable victory from the jaws of circumstantial defeat!

So please help me to raise a little money that will go a long way. For instance £76 will fuel their Rapid Response Vehicles for a day. £24 buys a Bag valve mask pouch to resuscitate a patient, so that's £100 you could help me raise from 100km of good honest cycling.

This will be the furthest I've ever cycled so I'm setting myself the target of completing the challenge in under 4 hours.
