Madrid Marathon 2013 · 28 April 2013 ·

There 253 million people in the world who are blind or visually impaired, 75% have conditions that are preventable or treatable. We screen for and treat eye conditions, raise awareness about eye health, and train and mentor local eye care teams

Story

Well, with less than eight weeks in which to train, I've set up this page to raise some funds from the Rock 'n' Roll Madrid Marathon on 28th April 2013. As someone who's father is an eye surgeon and brother a pilot, ORBIS are a great charity that fly to developing countries to save peoples sight. The charity even has a fleet of ten flying eye hospitals, which has enabled it to travel to 77 countries since 1982.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
