Participants: In memory of Mike Neal's Birthday
on 31 August 2013
On the 12 November, my Brother-in-law Mike lost his 14 month battle with Leukaemia. However Anthony Nolan, despite the aggressive nature of his disease, gave him and everyone including my sister Kirsty the hope of a cure.
On the 31st August we are celebrating what would have been Mike's 28th birthday by putting together a fundraising event where I will be shaving my head and going for the bald look!!! The smoother the better - I aim to look like an egg-head...all in the name of chariteeee!
So please, please dig deep & remember who this is for...for our Mike who we always think about and miss every day!
I will be donating my hair to The Little Princess Trust which is a charity which makes wigs for children with cancer.
The charity was very close to Mike’s heart, and he made it his mission to raise awareness of their wonderful work and get people signing up.
Many of his friends and family are already on the register and we know Mike would be so happy if more did.
