Every day, Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with a blood cancer or blood disorder. We do this by matching incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant. We also carry out cutting edge scientific research, fund specialist post-transplant nurses and support patients and their families through the transplant process and beyond. We won’t stop until we save the lives of everyone who needs a stem cell transplant. Every penny you donate brings us closer to that day.

It is said that 1 in 2 people will be affected by cancer, and having a good friend who has gone through treatment and recovery and deal with everything cancer could throw at them, I felt it would be best for them to choose the charities that I will be raising money for. Both the charities, Anthony Nolan and Bright Red help people and families who have been affected by cancer of the blood, be it in looking for a cure, a donor, improved treatment or support care.

To raise money for these deserving charities, on the 19th of June I will be setting of to complete the Coast to Coast Hike on my own. The 190 Mile walk from the Irish Sea to the North Sea will take 12 days over which I will be camping to avoid any luxury of a hotel or B&B room. All donations are welcome, however small, but I would love to keep it as even as possible between both charities. With that in mind, please consider potentially splitting your donation between both charities, or checking each charities total so far before donating.
