Great Wall of China Trek 2015 · 24 October 2015 to 2 November 2015 ·

We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving Page.

I've finally decided to practice what I preach and get involved with some fundraising for the NSPCC! The Great Wall of China Trek is clearly an exciting adventure, but it will be tough, and anyone who knows me would tell you it's going to take a lot of training and willpower to get me ready for this!

More importantly, the money I raise will go towards the brilliant services provided by the NSPCC. For example:

  • £10 would help a new born baby - working with their family to keep them safe
  • £25 would pay for an hour's worth of support on the NSPCC's 24 hour helpline for adults concerned about a child.
  • £400 would fund a workshop at a primary school to give children the tools they need to protect themselves from abuse
  • £1600 would pay to recruit, train and support a ChildLine counsellor

If you'd like to know more about how the NSPCC fight for every childhood, then check out our website:

Just to give you some facts and figures - I have paid £325 towards the cost of the trek, and the remainder of the costs will be covered by donations. I am aiming to raise a minimum £2785, with everything I raise above the costs going directly to the NSPCC.
