London to Brighton Off-Road Bike Ride 2021 · 4 September 2021 ·
At the start of 2020, my boss of over twenty years and dear friend Geoff Elvy suffered a cardiac arrest. Thankfully due to the quick thinking of his wife, Geoff pulled through and after a period of recovery in hospital he is now fighting fit once more.
As a consequence, this September myself and two friends will be taking part in a 100km off-road bike ride between London and Brighton. Taking over seven hours and encompassing tough terrain and testing physical endurance the ride is a real challenge.
This ride will (with your help!) raise money for the British Heart Foundation which funds vital research into the heart attacks, cardiac arrests, vascular dementia and circulatory disease that sadly kill hundreds of people every day.
The British Heart Foundation funds over £100 million of research every year, and it does so without any government contribution- relying completely on generous donors to fund life-saving research.
With your help we can help to prevent and reduce potentially fatal heart issues and help to end heartbreak. Every donation no matter how large or small helps.
Thanks for your support,
Mike.
