Story
Hi all, The second and final part of my running commitment for the Stroke association is tomorrow. I have to admit I'm a lot more relaxed about this run compared to the half marathon! For starters, I haven't had a cold for the week leading up to the run. Secondly, thus far I haven't put my back out the evening before the run boping with the kids in the kitchen to Bohemian Rhapsody!!
Anyway, enough of my complaints. The weather forcast looks good, my legs feel fresh, so hoping for a good run. Yet again my lovely wife and kids are coming along to support their sweaty beast of a husband/dad, and I can't wait. :-)
Michael.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have decided to run the Windsor Half marathon (25th September) and the Stroke Associations Resolution 15k in Hyde Park (16th October), a total of 36km (22.5miles), in order to raise funds for this fabulous and worthy charity.
Please help me achieve this target. I know I can cover the distance, but the knowledge that people have invested their money in this charity based on my percieved ability, will only help to motivate me to keep running.
I had originally set my fundraising target at £118, that’s £3 for every 1km I run, over the 2 events. However, very generous friends and family have already helped me exceed this goal. Therefore I have raised my goal target to £310 (£10 per km).
All contributions are welcome and I know the Association will ensure your sponsorship money is used wisely to help assists victims of stroke and to aid further research into it.
