Story
This year, I’ll be running Larne Half Marathon this August, for the brilliant Larne Foodbank. The foodbank helps hundreds of people in real need every year, and is a really important safety net within my parents’ old hometown. The Larne Half is a beautiful scenic route, which takes me past so many reminders of why the area matters to me; whether it’s running down the Glenarm Road reminding me of having lots of craic with Hazel and Ivan; flying by the greatest greasy spoon in the world, and all my trips there with my Nana until her 96th year, and trips there with Annette, Tracey and co through the years; the Black Arch, and Nana cheering every time Dad drove us through it on the way out to grab a Mauds; and Ballygally, with all the memories of freezing dips and swims with the family!
Can’t wait to do it for such a brill charity.
Any pounds or pennies you’re keen to give will go really far, and will be much, much appreciated!
Thanks very much, and much love,
Michael
