Story

I have been involved in a local West Dunbartonshire Community support group called ‘Taking The Plunge’ since December 2020.  I’ve been blown away by the way the group has been supporting each other through very tough times.

was brought up in Bonhill (West Dunbartonshire) and left about 25 years ago, so it’s been amazing for me to get back in my old community and see great things happening.  Taking The Plunge and MBN (my business) supported The West Dunbartonshire Community Foodshare at Christmas and got speaking to the amazing people involved in this fantastic charity.  They do a Food Bank, Baby Bank, Toy collections for kids and much more.  Every penny raised through charity pages like this one goes to people who really need it most.

I’ve been so inspired by their work that I’ve decided to do this crazy challenge, I’m not a natural runner but I do like a tough mental and physical challenge every now and again to see how far I can push myself.  This challenge is the West Highland Way Challenge Race – 96 miles from Fort William, down the WHW trail to Milngavie - The race has to be completed in less than 35 hours.

No one should go hungry, so please help by donating! Every single penny counts and will make a massive difference to people.
