Brighton Marathon 2017 · 9 April 2017 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

As some of you may know I will be running my first ever marathon in Brighton on April 9th 2017.
This is a huge task for me especially as I only started running a few months ago and I couldn't even run a mile!

I will be raising money for the Alzheimer's society as my amazing nan who passed away just a few months ago suffered from this heartbreaking illness. It was extremely difficult to see how the condition affected not only her but the people around her, especially in her last few years. The deterioration of a a loved ones memory is truly upsetting and I hope to raise as much money as I can for this charity who support individuals, like my nan and their families, to believe that life doesn't have to stop at the onset of Alzheimer's.

So dig deep into your pockets......and I hope to see some of you there with a shot at the end for me! :)

Please support, memories are everything xx
