In 2013 my wife, Debbie, was diagnosed with breast cancer. The diagnosis came as a result of a routine mammogram so it came as a huge shock.
As any of you who have been in similar situations will know, the family's world was turned upside down and shaken around.
Without the incredible work carried out by the Breast Care Centre at Southmead Hospital in Bristol, I shudder to think where we might be now.
B.U.S.T., the Breast Cancer Unit Support Trust, raises funds to support the centre to enable them to provide first class patient care and to support innovation with the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment, not available through the NHS.
The challenge of 26.2 miles is nothing compared to the challenge of coping with breast cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Please, please sponsor as much as you can so that other people and their families can be supported through this challenge and continue to benefit from the extraordinary work of the Breast Care Centre.
