Flora London Marathon 2007 · 22 April 2007 ·

The Christie charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds. Your support can help us to fund life-changing and potentially life-saving projects that will benefit cancer patients both now and in the future.

Story

Well despite my numerous injuries, excess weight, lack of preparation, the 4 mile hike to get to the start line & the scorching 75 degree heat………………………………… I managed to finish the course (all 26.2 miles) in a fairly respectable 6 hours 13 minutes.

For any who is unsure let me tell you 26.2 miles is one hell of a long way to travel, especially on foot. I have all the aches & pains and a few monster blisters to prove it.

Christie's Hospital is one of the U.Ks leading hospitals for treating cancer and all funds raised will contribute to better facilities for young people with cancer, research and developing the use of technological advances.

My fundraising page will remain open and available for donations until 22nd June 2007Please also feel free to send any cheques (payable to ‘Christies against cancer’) to Independent House,215 Bury New Road, Whitefield, Manchester, M45 8GW .

Thank you once again for your generous support.
