Monaco 70.3 Ironman · 4 August 2008

World Vision believes that by working together with children, their communities, and our supporters and partners, the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children can be transformed. As a Christian organisation, we aspire to reflect God’s unconditional love in all we do.

Story

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR GREAT SUPPORT! I'LL UPDATE THIS SITE WITH A SMALL SUMMARY OF THE RACE, AND SEND PHOTOS TO ALL OF YOU SOON... THE EFFORT MADE HAS GONE A LONG WAY, THANKS A MILLION, "Ladies and Gentlemen, family, friends and foe (let's hope there are none of you about), I have entered into the Monaco 70.3 Ironman that takes place on Sunday the 7th of September 2008 in (get this) Monaco. The event consists of a 1.9km swim, a 90km cycle finishing with a 20.1km run. For those of you out there who know me know that trying to create the biggest party or the most memorable night, possibly drinking the bar dry is more along the lines of something I'd be hitting you up for so this is something entirely different and your support would mean the utmost to me; I'm competing in this event for charity, an organization called "World Vision" that will indeed change a childs life forever. I shall not be harping on about it but only hope you understand when I say the great sense of pride I'm going to experience knowing that; In sponsoring me you are helping a fantastic cause internationally recognised for changing the lives of children worldwide, and secondly that throughout the race when feeling a little worse for wear, the sense of knowing that I have so many family and friends behind me... That will most definitely be what drives me harder and throws me across the finish line..."
