Suzy Lamplugh Trust is the national personal safety charity and aims to help everyone in society to lead safer, more confident lives. Through advice, information, resources, training, community talks and projects, it deals with issues from walking alone at night to staying safe whilst keeping fit, from people working in vulnerable situations to children using the internet and from reducing elderly people's fear of crime to raising awareness of the dangers faced by boys and young men. It works throughout the UK to give people the information and skills they need to live their lives to the full, confidently and safely.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Needles to say, the SLT is a very worthwhile charity and as far as I know I will be the only runner in the Marathon supporting this worthy cause.  Please do take the time to visit the SLT website to see what the charity is all about.  Many of you will remember the case of Suzy's disappearance and the work that her mother undertook in her memory to establish a charity that promotes personal safety.

I only found out two weeks ago that I had a place in the Marathon and so I now have a very tight training schedule.  My sponsors can therefore sleep soundly at night knowing that their money is directly contributing to my enduring physical pain.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Suzy Lamplugh Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Don't be shy, give it a try and please sponsor me now.

Many thanks

Michael
