Story
This Christmas Day you will sit down to your traditional meal with family and/or friends. Spare a thought in your conscience for those who are less fortunate and may not have a meal, a loved one or a friend on Christmas Day due to having fallen on hard times and not having managed to 'cross the tightrope safely' of a difficult situation in their lives. Many Irish emigrants who have tried to make their way in life in London have endured tough times and found themselves homeless, out of work and too ashamed to call out for help to friends and family in what can be a very lonely City amid the 'rat' race of the daily pace of London life.
The London Irish Centre in Camden provides vital help and assistance for such people to help them getting back on their feet and on the 'ladder of life' towards a home, a contact for a job and a rest urn of their self esteem and self respect.
Please please give what you can to this worthy cause and be personally responsible for giving hope to those otherwise in complete despair this Christmas.
