There is no way I am cutting this story short. 

I will be boxing 28th October 2023, in memory of my mum. All the money will be going to cancer research.

My mum was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998. I was only 18 years old. She was been given the all clear after 5 years. In 2006 it was back, this time was bones. My family never said anything to me because I was pregnant with my 1st child. She fought for 6 years, she suffered but she always had a smile on her face especially when her grand daughter was around. She died 02.06.2012,  1 week after my wedding. My biggest fear was her dying on her own, instead she had died while I was holding her surrounded by her family. Even now while I am writing this, I am trying to hold back my tears even because today is 11 years she has passed away.  

1 thing she has said to me was “don’t sit around a wait to do thing for when you are older and retired, I did this, and look at me now”. 

She was only 61 years old. Still a working nurse
