Story
Myself, Jane, Rebecca and Mel are supporting St. Rocco's by challenging ourselves to do the Hospice to Hospice Hike. This hike is a marathon (26.2 miles).
Last year, after recieving a terminal cancer diagnosis, my mum spent her final days at St Rocco's. They couldn't have done more to make her comfortable and I will forever be grateful to them for the wonderful care she received during her time with them. I know that my mum felt at peace at St Rocco's and the kindness of all the staff and volunteers who helped to care for her was outstanding.
I will never forget the friendly volunteers who managed to make us smile over a cup of tea when my mum was first taken in, the doctor who spent hours chatting to us about my mum or the kind nurse who greeted me with a hug after she had waited outside in the middle of the night for me to arrive when it was time to say goodbye.
St Rocco's rely on donations so that they can continue the amazing work that they do and so that they can continue to give people the care that they so deserve.
