Story
Dear Friends and Colleagues
There is nothing I cherish more than my sleep which I rank just after my family, friends and work in my priorities.
Those who work or live in Vale Royal would be familiar with the positive impact of St-Luke’s Cheshire Hospice for patients and carers, right at the interface of physical and mental health.
I have decided to sacrifice a good night sleep for a good night walk for this good local cause. Oh, there is also a half marathon equivalent to tackle but I am told by my walking buddies that it would go like a song as long as I keep talking…
So with a bit of convincing from the Vale Royal Adult Mental Health Team (a grin, a slap in the back, technical assistance with IT, promise of a pink tutu, etc) I have decided to commit to this challenge.
It doesn’t take a psychiatrist to foresee that there will be a time where the courage or naivety might run low; it is then that your pledge to this cause will make a difference to me.
So please take a few minutes to give a little, with all my gratitude.
