Freddie's January Marathon Challenge · 31 January 2022

We started our work back in 1972. Animal Rescue Cumbria has grown and these days is a well-established rescue which takes in and rehomes over 350 dogs and cats every year. We provide a secure and caring environment and help all our animals adapt and find permanent, loving new homes.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My name is Freddie and I am 10 years old.  I am going to run the equavalent of two marathons in January to raise money for Animal Rescue Cumbria - The Wainwright Shelter.

I have heard stories about people giving up their pets to shelters because they don't want them anymore now that lockdown is over.

4 months ago, we got a sprocker puppy and she is amazing! I have had the best 4 months of my life with her and I don't understand why you would ever give up puppies and kittens as they are part of your family. It makes me feel really sad knowing that some people treat animals like this.

The Wainwright Shelter is there to support these unfortunate animals and this is why I want to raise money to look after them until they find their forever homes.🐾💚

Thank you so much for any donations, no matter how small. Every donation will go to help an animal at The Wainwright Shelter.
