We asking friends and family to help raise some money to help the Mother and Baby Unit (MBU) at St John’s Hospital in Livingston...a place close to our hearts.

The unit provides specialist care for mothers and their babies around the clock in its 6-bed ward. For those mothers experiencing mental health issues this service allows them to receive in-patient treatment alongside bonding with their babies. 

There are only 2 Mother and Baby Units in the whole of Scotland. 

The work the team do at St John’s MBU is absolutely invaluable. The staff are compasionate and caring, but most of all extremely supportive. We will never be able to repay them for care they provided us during our time with them (in 2015). So as a way of giving something back and supporting the wonderful work they do evey single day, Natalie and I are challenging ourselves to walk 1 million steps by 31st August to raise funds for this life saving Unit and it’s amazing staff.
