As you may know Joining Jack is a charity very close to my heart. Jack is the son of a close friend and I’ve known him since he was 2, he’s always had the brightest smile, warmest heart  and a brilliant sense of humour. He really is a true warrior and I for one would do anything to take away Duchenne. 

In the ten years since Joining Jack was launched I've witnessed Jack’s parents Alex and Andy work tirelessly and passionately with sheer determination to do everything in their power for their boy and all boys with this horrid condition which has no cure. 

I was never a runner it just wasn’t part of me I didn’t think it was ever for me but my running began the day this incredible charity took on their first fundraising event and 50 of us completed the Manchester 10k. That was May 2012, so it seemed only right that Manchester had to be the place to run almost ten years on, 10k would have been a good representation of the ten years but it just wasn’t going to cut it to enable myself and those who are taking on this challenge with me to raise as much as possible to mark this milestone and help to fund some very important vital research. So here we are on countdown to the Manchester marathon on April 3rd. It would mean a lot to have your support and any amount is massively appreciated!
