Story
In a moment of madness I signed up to do the Tough Mudder Classic Race (10 miles, 25 obstacles) this Sunday with the Bromley Belles (my football team). I'm not sure I've ever walked 10 miles in one day let alone run it, tackled 25 obstacles involving freezing cold water, electricity (?!?) and a LOT of mud.
I thought if I'm doing it I may as well try to raise money for a cause close to my heart. I know two families who are currently dealing with childhood cancer and I have since become aware of how massively underfunded research into such cancers is.
Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group is a leading children's cancer charity and the UK and Ireland's professional association for those involved in the treatment and care of children with cancer. Each week in the UK and Ireland, more than 30 children are diagnosed with cancer. We bring together professionals to ensure all children receive the best possible treatment and care. We support young patients and their families with our award winning, expert information. We fund and support research into childhood cancers.
