Thank you for visiting my page. I am running the Great South Run for a very important reason, to raise a lot of money for 2 extremely important charities. 

In June this year, Beatrice, my beautiful niece suffered a severe injury which left her with a fractured skull. She was airlifted to intensive care to Arkansas Childrens Hospital http://www.archildrens.org/ where she stayed for a week in the Neurosurgical ward. She was very unwell but had some of the best medical care and as a result she is now recovering well. The hospital isn't like others in America and they treat all chilidren regardless of their families ability to pay. Consequently they rely very heavily on donations to provide the superb care and support to the children and their families. My family are so grateful for Beatrices care that the least I can do is try and raise some money for the hospital.....please dig very, very deep, it is an excellent cause.

 

I am also very pleased that the people at CHASE, my second charity were so kind in allowing me to raise money and split it between them and Arkansas Childrens Hospital. They provide unbelievable support and care for children who are not expected to survive past their 19th birthday and their families. Please look at their website http://www.shootingstarchase.org.uk/  to see some of the brilliant services they provide in some very diffcult situations. As you can see this is a very, very worthwhile cause, so again, please dig very deep and donate as much as you can.
