Story
In July of 2013 our daughter who was 18 months at the time was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumour. Our daughter Pippa Belle has undergone several operations including 10 hours of brain surgery. Pippa is currently on a 13 month intensive chemotherapy plan which she started last August. Our daughter has had to fight extremely hard for her live but she amazes us with her bravery and strength. Pippa always has a smile on her face and tries to enjoy her life as much as she is able to. Trust me she is an inspiration to anyone that meets her. We still have a very long road ahead of us but we are determined that this horrendous disease will not beat us.
There are many different organisation and charities that have supported us so far on our journey and continue to do so, but one charity close to our hearts is the Maddi's Butterflies (they support children and their families with cancer) and we have decided to try and give a little back.
Myself and my very good friend Hannah Whitaker are running the Manchester Great Run, its 10k, anyone who knows us both will know that we both hate running and that 10k in one very huge challenge for us. Trust me this is not a walk in the park for us!!
We would be extremely grateful if you could sponsor us, any amount will be hugely appreciated.
Anyway I best get my running shoes on, in-between hospital stays and 4 children this is going to be a huge personal achievement.
Please wish us luck (We aim to run this in under 1hour 15 mins)
