Story

Hey guys

On the 21st of June I will be doing a sky dive and I was hoping you would sponsor me! I will be jumping out of a plane at 15,000 feet for a local organisation called CREST. It took me a long time to decide on who I would like to jump out of a plane for as there are so many worthy causes. But I would like to give you an insight into how I came about CREST. Firstly; I debated all of the usual big charities such as 'cancer research'; 'make a wish' and 'Alzheimer's society' these big charities are well known due to having the money to promote and advertise thus getting a lot of fundraisers. I wanted an opportunity to support a local charity that does good for our elderly people who are often forgotten about. For those of you who don't know; I worked in a care home for elderly people, some with disabilities and dementia, for two years. Along the way I learnt about the trials and tribulations of dementia and the impact it has on families. CREST is an independent local charity, they are currently looking to raise £4,500 to open a day centre and buy equipment for 60 people with disabilities and dementia to have a place to go and do activities. This day centre will help individuals by combating isolation and loneliness, encouraging social interaction and boosting mental quality of life, preventing deterioration mentally as well as physically.

I would really appreciate your support!
